Dacro is a new surface treatment technology. Compared with the traditional electroplating process, dacro is a kind of "green electroplating". Its advantages are as follows:

1. Super corrosion resistance: the thickness of dacro film layer is only 4-8μm, but its rust prevention effect is more than 7-10 times of the traditional electric galvanizing, hot dip galvanizing or coating method. The standard parts and pipe fittings treated by Dachiro process did not show red rust after salt spray test for more than 1200h.

2. No hydrogen embrittlement: The treatment process of dacro determines that there is no hydrogen embrittlement phenomenon, so dacro is very suitable for the coating of stressed parts.

3. High heat resistance: Dacro can resist high temperature corrosion, heat resistance temperature can reach more than 300℃. And the traditional galvanizing process, the temperature reaches 100℃ when the skin has been scrapped.

4. Good bonding force and recoating performance: Dacro coating has good bonding force with metal matrix, and has strong adhesion with other additional coatings. The processed parts are easy to be sprayed and colored, and the bonding force with organic coating is even more than that of phosphating film.

5. Good permeability: Due to the electrostatic shielding effect, it is difficult to electroplate zinc on the deep hole, slit and inner wall of the workpiece, so the above parts of the workpiece cannot be protected by electroplating. Dacro can enter these parts of the workpiece to form dacro coating.

6. No pollution and public hazard: In the whole process of production, processing and workpiece coating, dacrol will not produce waste water and waste gas that pollute the environment. It is not necessary to treat the three wastes and reduce the treatment cost.

Although dacros has many advantages, it also has some disadvantages, which are mainly embodied in:

1. Some dacro contains chromium ions which are harmful to the environment and human body, especially hexavalent chromium ions which have carcinogenic effect. (Under the current environmental policy, hexavalent chromium ions are no longer contained in dacros.)

2. Dacro sintering temperature is high, long time, energy consumption.

3. The surface hardness and wear resistance of dacro are not high, and dacro coated products are not suitable for contact and connection with copper, magnesium, nickel and stainless steel parts, because they will produce contact corrosion, affecting the surface quality and corrosion resistance of products.

4. The surface color of daco coating is single, only silver white and silver gray, which is not suitable for the personalized needs of automobile development. However, different colors can be obtained through post-treatment or composite coating to improve the ornamentation and matching of truck parts.

5. Dacro coating is not very conductive, so it is not suitable for conductive connection parts, such as electrical grounding bolts.
